For strategic reasons, in March 2008 P&I divested itself of the LOGA/400 solution, which it had been offering as a pure solution for iSeries up until then. P&I handed over that area to the Infoniqa Group, its long-standing partner and the Austrian iSeries specialist. Shortly afterwards, P&I GmbH in Vienna took over E-PM and eco-STAFF, the HR business divisions of ecosys Informationstechnologie Gesellschaft m.b.H. in Steyr in Austria, thus expanding its product portfolio to include a personnel leasing solution.
With effect as of September 1st, 2008, P&I GmbH, Vienna, took over JET PABIS NG, which is the HR business division of Data Systems Austria Aktiengesellschaft & Co KG, Vienna. P&I is striving to become the market leader for HR management software in Austria by means of this takeover. |

The European business of P&I AG outside of Germany has developed in a prosperous manner and at present it is an important mainstay with a turnover proportion of just under 21%.
Building on the foundation of payroll accounting, the P&I product portfolio has been supplemented to include the functions of human resource management and the web-based employee portal.
The most recent upgrade through the addition of the time management and personnel deployment planning processes supports the objective of generating additional market shares.
New business areas have been opened up in the HR service sector: The contracts concluded with the large, internationally active BPO providers LogicaCMG and ADP confirmed the strategic orientation of P&I AG and at the same time they serve as the key for entry into the market of the global players.
For the second consecutive year, P&I AG will be distributing a dividend. In 2007 a dividend in the amount of €1.00 for each individual share certificate that is entitled to a dividend will be paid out.
The former major shareholder - The Carlyle Group - sold its indirectly held share package in the amount of 66.64% and re-allocated it to 34 institutional investors in eight countries with effect as of August 23rd, 2007.

P&I acquires ZHS Zeitmanagementsysteme Hard- und Software GmbH & Co. KG. This acquisition enables P&I to expand its P&I LOGA software into a complete solution covering all human resource management aspects ranging from payroll accounting to human resource management and time management. |

IPCarBeteiligungs GmbH, Munich, acquires the majority shareholding from Egbert and Ingeborg Becker. IPCarBeteiligungs GmbH is directly and wholly owned by Carlyle Europe Venture Partners L.P., a private equity fund managed by The Carlyle Group. Upon completion of the takeover, Egbert and Ingeborg Becker, the former majority shareholders and founders of P&I AG, leave the company. Carlyle appoints former COO Vasilios Triadis to succeed Egbert Becker as CEO. |

P&I LOGA is now available for payroll accounting in nine countries. Poland (developed by partner dmz chemak) and Spain (developed by partner Savia) join the family. From the beginning of the year onwards, P&I is quoted on the stock exchange in the Prime Standard segment, ISIN: DE 0006913403. |

An international development centre is opened in Bratislava (Slovakia) where the localised versions of LOGA are developed for Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Netherlands. Activities throughout Europe are expanded: Master Consulting develops the localised Hungarian version of P&I LOGA in partnership. In Austria, P&I acquires IBM software for payroll settlements and human resource management. The product for the iSeries platform is further improved under the name LOGAvplus. P&I Application Services GmbH is sold to TDS AG, an outsourcing specialist based in Heilbronn. |

The company BFD Personalabrechnungssysteme GmbH is acquired.
