Baxter - a worldwide brand - impressed by the industry expertise of P&I AG

In the future, the health company Baxter Deutschland GmbH will be managing its staff using the integrated HR management solution of P&I, thus ensuring huge increases in transparency and efficiency improvements - not only for the personnel department.

	A process analysis in the payroll accounting area at Baxter Deutschland GmbH revealed that the way IT was deployed for many processes involved considerable redundancies. The health company, which active globally specialising in medical products, pharmaceuticals and bio-technology, launched a search for a professional and future-proof HR management system by means of an invitation to tender bids. Admittedly, it was already utilising software for payroll accounting. However, the realisation of other functional areas, such as personnel file archiving, pension management, time management, personnel planning and controlling, necessitated a huge amount of time and effort. “Our objective was to purchase an integrated software system in order to support process-oriented workflows,” explains Andrea Mittelmeier, Payroll Accounting Manager at Baxter.

P&I AG succeeded in emerging as the winner of the selection process by fulfilling all of the requirements expected of a software company. At present Baxter is still in the early stages of the project. The first step will be the implementation of payroll accounting with P&I LOGA. Then the position plan together with the organisational chart feature will be implemented in the middle of coming year. “The integrated solution in particular was the crucial factor for us in our decision in favour of P&I. Furthermore, P&I was able to provide us with important references,” explains Mittelmeier. “Fast reaction times in response to special inquiries, especially the excellent support provided by P&I’s staff throughout the entire period of the tender invitation and the project kick-off, which got to an optimum start, has reconfirmed to Baxter that P&I is definitely the right partner.” The corporate group expects to achieve greater transparency and to increase effectiveness in its personnel department with the aid of P&I LOGA. Up to now it was still using a large number of Excel lists, which it intends to eliminate. P&I HCM - the web-based employee and manager portal - is also expected to play a major role in the future. Workflow-supported process flows will become especially important in this context.
